What a typical delivery order costs
There's no single right number: it depends on where you live, what you order and how many people you're feeding. A useful reference is SemFood's own catalog, written to reflect realistic prices: a typical order there (each restaurant's signature dish plus the delivery fee) comes to $19.29. If yours runs higher, fees, drinks and sides are usually why.
How the math works
We multiply your weekly orders by the average order and by the 4.33 weeks in a month (52 weeks divided by 12). The year is the month times 12. It's the math you'd do on paper, just faster, and nothing you type ever leaves your browser.
What SemFood does with that craving

Does the Savings-o-meter save what I type?
No. The math runs in your browser and nothing is sent to our server. Close the page and the numbers are gone.
Should I include the delivery fee in the order amount?
Yes. Delivery fees, service fees and the tip are all part of what you pay. Add them to the food price to get the real number.
Why does a month have 4.33 weeks?
Because a year has 52 weeks and 12 months. Using 4 weeks a month undercounts your spending by almost 8%, and the whole year comes out a month short.
Does SemFood charge anything for orders?
No. No order is ever charged or delivered: the food doesn't exist. There's an optional subscription that raises your daily budget of pretend spending and unlocks extra features.
